Hello. I wasn't able to find an email to contact you so I thought I would just leave a comment here.

Food Not Bombs is holding a MASSIVE fund raising show / zine fair / eating party at Jura Books on Sunday 27 July. It'll start about 1pm, with the outside stuff packing up at sundown.

If you could pass it on, we'd like zine makers to drop us a line if they want to bring their stuff along and have a little table. Tables are free, but a small donation would be nice if you sell lots of stuff.

Contact us here: sydfoodnotbombs (at) gmail (dot) com

Thanks.

Thanks for the kind comments about the CMIS site and blog, Westword. Visitors to the Fiction Focus blog will also see two growing tabbed pages at the top - one for author blogs, the other for author and illustrator websites. These are also linked back whenever possible to the CMIS author web pages you refer to. We saw a need for the one-stop shop you mention, and this is a beginning. As I say, both pages are growing, but we welcome all suggestions for additions. Judi

Hi Westword,

thanks for your posts- most informative. I agree the CMIS team do an excellent job. Western Australia is certainly making it's mark on the literary award scene. The young people's WAYRBA's and the Western Australian Premier's awards have maintained a consistently high standard and with the $110,000 Australia/Asian prize looming the word will no doubt spread.
With the recent doubling of NSW Premier's prize money's and the PM's new $100,000 Literary award prizes there is certainly some money sloshing around in award world.

I cover these awards plus the majority of Australian adult and children's majors alongside 30 or so international literary awards on www.literaryawards.com.au which I launched a few short months back. I have sister sites in the US www.bookawardsonline.com and in the UK www.literaryawards.co.uk which focus on those regions. You might find the sites a useful resource.

Regards from the Southern Highlands of NSW
